Witness and dashcam appeal following fail-to-stop collision in Wimborne

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a fail-to-stop collision in Wimborne.

The collision occurred at around 8.30am on Friday 18 September 2026 involving a silver car and a pedestrian outside St Michael's C.E. Middle School in Colehill Lane.

The driver of the silver car did not stop at the scene.

The pedestrian – a local woman aged in her 40s – sustained a minor injury to her arm.

Police Constable Jayne Addison, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to please come forward.

“I would also ask anyone who was travelling in the area with a dashcam fitted in their vehicle to check their footage for anything that may assist my enquiries.”
